INTRODUCTION TO OUR PROVINCE

The Right Worshipful The Provincial Grand Master

Michael Robin Bailey

The Province of East Kent has over eight thousand members and 186 Lodges, meeting in thirty five centres, located in an area bounded by Gravesend in the north of the county,  the holiday resort of Dymchurch on the south coast,  Margate in the east and the historic hop growing town of Paddock Wood in the west.

The administrative offices of the Province are based at the Masonic Library and Museum at St.Peter’s Street, Canterbury. The museum displays a wide range of Masonic memorabilia and exhibits, illustrating the history of Freemasonry in Kent from its beginnings. The Museum is open to the general public on three days of the week.

Freemasonry is an organisation which promotes the highest traditional values in life. It exercises care and concern for its members in particular and mankind in general, practises charity and expects its members to observe the highest standards in personal, working and public life.

This site will tell you about Freemasonry in East Kent and, by links to other sites, about Freemasonry in general. It is currently in process of improvement and further information will be added.
