The Worshipful Society of Free Masons, Rough Masons, Wallers, Slaters, Paviors, Plaisterers and Bricklayers
The Society was founded in 1913 as the Channel Row Assemblage. The
ritual and working is more archaic than that of Craft Masonry,
containing practical instruction of which only echoes are found in
speculative ritual. There are 7 Degrees, viz. 1º, Indentured Apprentice;
IIº, Fellow of the Craft; IIIº, Super-Fellow, Fitter & Marker; IVº,
Super-Fellow, Setter Erector; Vº, Intendent, Overseer, Super Intendent &
Warden; VIº, Passed Master; VIIº, Master Mason of whom three are Grand
Master Masons.
There are two Assemblages meeting in the area of the Masonic Province of East
