Terry was born on 28th. March 1942 in Lymington, Hampshire.
Although Christened Terence Robert Douglas he prefers to be known as Terry.
Educated at Wilson's Grammar School in Camberwell, London.
Entire working career spent in the Lloyd's insurance market. Started in 1958
as the office boy in a small family firm of Lloyd's Brokers and ended in 1997
as Professional Indemnity Manager for a major Lloyd's Non-Marine Syndicate.
Whilst employed by the Managing Agent became an Underwriting Member of
Lloyd's
Married with two daughters, all of whom support him in his Masonic endeavours
and for which he is very thankful.
Craft.
Initiated into the Bishopsway Lodge No. 6061 (London) in 1972, was Master in
1982, spent 11 years as ADC/DC of the Lodge. Invested with LGR in 1994 and
SLGR in 2001, held the office of Charity Steward for eight years.
Became a joining member of the Lodge of Harmony No. 133 (Province of East
Kent) in 1984, was Master in 1989, appointed to the rank of PPrGStB in 1998,
promoted to PPrGChStwd in 2007
and currently is the Administrator of the Lodge's Relief Chest at The Grand
Charity.
Royal Arch Chapter.
Exalted into Cambridge Heath Chapter No. 4506 (London) in 1974, but resigned
in 1986. However, re-joined the Chapter in 2000 and became 1st Principal in
2004. Currently Scribe E of the Chapter.
Became a joining member of the Chapter of Harmony No.133 (Province of East
Kent) in 1985, installed as 1st principal in 1995, appointed DC in 1997, a
position that he held for ten years. Honoured with the rank of PrGStwd in 2001;
promoted to PPrGSoj in 2005 and appointed PrAGScrE in 2006.
A member of the East Kent Provincial Grand Stewards Chapter No. 5866 and East
Kent First Principals' Chapter No. 3931

Is also an active member of the following: Mark, RAM, Rose Croix and Red Cross
of Constantine.
