Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies
Excellent Companion Keith Alan Elgar PGStB.

A Freemason, more inclined to the geometry of circles and triangles than
squares and perpendiculars. Born at Westgate, just before the onset of the
Second World War, and now living at Herne Bay with his wife, Julie and two of
their three daughters. A retired Police Officer of the Kent County
Constabulary.
He was Initiated into Craft Masonry in The Spinnaker Lodge No .8395 in 1975,
and became Master during the miner’s strike in 1983.
Appointed a Provincial Grand Steward in 1987, promoted to Past Deputy Grand
Registrar in 1993, and as the Provincial Grand Sword Bearer in 1998, following
a couple of years as an Acting Deputy Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies.
Invested Past Grand Standard Bearer by the Most Worshipful Grand Master
in April, 2003.
A Founder Member of the Lodge of Loyalty No.9494, a member of the Kent
Provincial Grand Stewards Lodge No.5866 and Honorary Member of other Craft
Lodges within the Province.
Relating to the circles and triangles, he was Exalted in The Spinnaker Chapter
in March 1979 and was Installed as First Principal in Mark 1990. Invested a
Provincial Grand Steward in 1991 and is currently the Director of Ceremonies
of the East Kent Provincial Grand Stewards' Chapter. Honorary Member of
other Royal Arch Chapters within the Province of East Kent. He was the
Deputy Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies for the Provincial Grand
Chapter of East Kent from 1997 to 2002 and is involved in another Christian
Masonic Order within the County of Kent.
Invested as Past Grand Standard Bearer in The Supreme Grand Chapter of
Royal Arch Masons by The Most Excellent First Grand Principal in April, 2004.
Appointed Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies in 2005.
