The East Kent Provincial Charities Association was formed in
1993 to encourage the raising of money for charitable purposes by the Brethren
of the Province of East Kent and in particular, to take advantage of the
favourable tax regime available to charities. In the fourteen years of its
existence the EKPCA has exceeded all the targets set for it in terms of
numbers of Members and the amount of money under management.
The EKPCA now offers considerable benefits to Lodges
* Transformation to a one-stop shop providing Members with all necessary
information and advice on fund-raising, investment and gift-aid.
* The provision of immediate, confidential links to the Provincial Charity
Stewards for both Craft and Chapter, and to the Provincial Almoner.
* The provision of an excellent rate of interest on money held in the names of
Premium A Members
* Access to a dedicated web-site offering up-to-date information on all
aspects of the work of the EKPCA plus links to relevant charities and support
groups, both Masonic and Non-masonic
There are many ways to make contact with the EKPCA, by internet, email,
telephone and even by post.
The EKPCA exists to maximise the money raised in the Province of East Kent for
charitable purposes. Now it also seeks to support the work of the Provincial
Charity Stewards and the Provincial Almoner. This is not the end but the
beginning of a period of evolutionary change leading to an even more
responsive facility for the Province. The charity belongs to its Members and
all suggestions for improving its services are welcome -
