Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies
Worshipful Bro. Peter Charles Hagger PGStB
Born in Folkestone in February 1949 and educated at Dover College, Peter
studied Building and Structural Engineering in South East London (where he was
President of the 10,000 strong Students Union) for 3 years. He joined the
family business building new private residential properties and housing
estates. He is currently the Managing Director of that Company and a Property
Holding and Rental Company. He is a Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered
Surveyors, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building and a Past
President of the former Kent branch of the Institute of Construction
Management.
Peter (a dedicated family man) and Jane have been married for over 35 years.
They have 2 sons, a daughter and granddaughter.
Peter’s hobbies include fly-fishing and motor biking. Currently he is riding a
Harley Road King. In 2004 he undertook a 2000km motorbike endurance challenge,
completed in 7 days in Southern India, with over 100 “bikers” from around the
world. Collectively they raised in excess of £150,000 for charities. He now
enjoys watching rugby (having, in his youth, played on the wing for several
London clubs), gardening and attempting to play musical instruments, (most of
which by his own admission he does badly!).
Peter’s father introduced him to freemasonry and since 2003 he has been an
active member of the Provincial DC Escorting team. He is a great believer in
teamwork and relishes the challenge of being Provincial Grand Director of
Ceremonies.

Initiated into the Valley of Elham Lodge No 6649 in 1975 (WM 1987 / 1995, DC
twice, for a total of 9 years, and Secretary for 5).
