PROVINCIAL GRAND MASTER'S DISCRETIONARY AWARDS |

Those receiving the awards included the Sheppey Sea Cadets, British Airways
High Flight Charity, New Romney Counselling Service, Kent Association for the
Blind, Royal Life Saving Society, Cornwallis Memorial Trust, Canterbury
Volunteer centre, Rising Sun Domestic Violence Project, Dyslexia East Kent
Support, Kent Miles of Smiles, Red Cross Fire and Emergency Support, Gravesham
Volunteer Centre, Great Oak School, Laleham Gap Pre School Unit and Medway’s
Stage Theatre Society.
He explained that the money to be donated tonight is derived from with our own resources and raised by the brethren and their families we do not seek outside commercial finance adding that the United Grand Lodge in London has donated on behalf of all Freemasons grants totalling 1.45 million pounds in June this year to Charities across the country and at set aside a further ten Thousand pounds for Kent Air Ambulance which when matched funded will provide a total sum of twenty thousand pounds.
The Provincial Grand Master then proceeded to present the
cheques to the various charities. All of whom were most grateful to the
brethren of East Kent for their support. The sums donated were to be used to
meet a whole range of needs including a Portacabin for the Sheppey Sea Cadets,
