KENT AIR AMBULANCE PRESENTATION

The Freemasons of East Kent and their guests celebrated their Provincial Craft Festival at the Winter Gardens in Margate on Friday 20th. April 2007. The culmination of the meeting was a presentation of three cheques to the Kent Air Ambulance totalling £20,000. The first cheque for £10,000 was presented by Laura Chapman the CEO of The Grand Charity to which every freemason in the English Constitution subscribes. This was followed by two presentations of cheques for £5000 each, first by the Provincial Grand Master of East Kent, Michael Bailey and second by the Provincial Grand Master of West Kent, Jonathan Winpenny, on behalf of their respective Provinces. The cheques were received by the Chairman of the Kent Air Ambulance Charity, Tony Monteuuis, supported by the Head of Fundraising, Jill Playle. The presentation of the cheques was greeted with spontaneous hearty applause by all present. There followed a short address by Tony Monteuuis, thanking all for the most generous donation and outlining the work of the air ambulance and plans for the future including the imminent start up of sister services in Surrey and Sussex operating out of Dunsfold.
