On Wednesday 13th. February 2008, W Bro. John Grumbridge APGM, presented a
cheque for £2900 to Demelza House at Bobbing, Sittingbourne. This was part of
the grants to the six hospices in East Kent totalling a sum in excess of
£19,000. The Freemason’s Grand Charity dispensed a total of just under
£600,000 on our behalf to 220 hospices in England and Wales.
This is a landmark year for Demelza House in Sittingbourne, as in September it
will be celebrating ten years since it opened. Also before the end of the year
it expects to be joined in this crucial and valuable work by its sister
facility being built at Eltham.
