Bro Bob's Walk from Southwark to Canterbury

Sharpers Hall Lodge No.9196 in Herne Bay was graced by the presence of APGM W Bro Roger Waltham at their L.O.I. on the 10th June, to welcome and congratulate W Bro Bob Mitchell on the completion of his epic sponsored walk.

Having left Grand Lodge on Sunday the 6th June, Bob walked a total of 95 miles to Herne Bay following the ancient Pilgrimage route from Southwark to Canterbury along the North Downs and Pilgrims Way, visiting the cathedrals of St Pauls, Southwark, Rochester and Canterbury.

On route he was supported by deliveries of food and other essential supplies by W Bros. Tony Patmore and Colin Boddington of the Sharpers Hall Lodge and W Bro. Dave Merrick of the Gillingham Lodge of Friendship No.8453, whose members very kindly donated £175 from their previous meetings raffle.

The walk raised in excess of £1,300 which will go to The Freemasons Grand Charity’s Haiti Relief Chest.

WELL DONE BOB!
