We will remember them

Remembrance Sunday 14th November 2010

We have lost over 300 servicemen in Afganistan since the conflict began with many more badly injured. Let us also not forget those who lost their lives in both world wars and the various conflicts such as Iraq, Falkland Islands and Malaya to name but a few.

The Provincial Grand Master would very much like to see as many brethren supporting the various parades and war memorial services throughout the province on Sunday 14th November (Remembrance Sunday). A letter has already been circulated by the Provincial Office to all Secretaries of Centres and Lodges, which includes details on purchasing a poppy wreath.

A list of those Lodges and Centres who have contributed to the Royal British Legion by ordering and paying for poppy wreaths is set out below. They will be laid at their local memorials on Remembrance Sunday.

The PGM also encourages the wearing of Masonic collars in public. Do wear them with pride at this event. This is our way of showing the general public who we are and that we care.
