A Double Investiture

With the firm hands of the Deputy Provincial Grand Master, VWBro Roger Odd, on the steering wheel and the assistance of RWBro Geoffrey Dearing, the Provincial Grand Master, as navigator, they both arrived punctually at Old Ruymian Lodge No 8391, Ramsgate, on Saturday 29th October 2011, to attend the Lodge Installation Meeting. 85 brethren were present, including the VWBro Deputy Provincial Grand Master of Sussex, Graham Carr.
The Worshipful Master, WBro A.F. Brown, opened his Lodge and then admitted the Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies, WBro Lyndon Jones, to form a deputation to receive the Provincial Grand Master (the PGM), who entered and passed through a colourful blue and gold column formed by his escort of 12 officers. The PGM accepted the Worshipful Master's offer of the gavel.
Assistant Provincial Grand Master, Nicolas Waller, (who had been unable to attend the investiture of the Provincial Grand Master due to ill health: he had just had 53 gallstones removed) was then invested by the Provincial Grand Master, who followed this by delivering their patents to his Deputy, Roger Odd, and Assistants Brian Powell and Roger Waltham.
The PGM then proffered his thanks to the Worshipful Master and the brethren of the Lodge for the use of the Lodge to conduct Provincial business.
