Inaugural Sportsman’s Dinner
Friday 30th March 2012
The East Kent Provincial Sports Association will hold its Inaugural Dinner on Friday 30th March 2012.
The EKPSA was formed last March and has met with a high level of interest and an increasing amount of participation by Brethren from a number of different sporting disciplines.
To celebrate the efforts of the first year, the members will be holding a Sportsman’s Dinner at the St Lawrence Cricket Ground, in Canterbury; the home of Kent County Cricket Club. The event is open to all Freemasons, partners and friends, and will include a four course meal, served in the recently refurbished Cheeseman Pavilion, based on the “Long Room” at Lord’s cricket ground.
The meal will be followed by the presentation of a number of sporting trophies, recognising the efforts and achievements of the various Masonic sporting sections in the Province, highlighting the fun and enjoyment of those who have been involved.
Following the presentations, entertainment will be provided by two highly amusing sporting speakers: Roger Dakin, a former International Hockey player, and Howard Smith. Additionally, it is hoped to have a number of local sporting stars available to join tables for the evening. There will also be a raffle and a memorabilia auction.
Tables of ten are available at the fantastic price of £250. Individual tickets are £25 per head. This represents an outstanding evening’s entertainment in a wonderfully evocative sporting environment.
Tickets are limited to a maximum of 150, so that early booking is essential.
